The Injection Mold Process Can Be Divided Into Six Stages

Dec 24, 2021

Injection mold, also known as injection molding, is an injection and molding method. Injection molding method has the advantage of production speed, high efficiency, can realize automation operation, breed of design and color is much, can shape by Jane to numerous, can from big to small size, and precise in dimension and product upgrading, can into complex shape parts, injection mould is suitable for mass production with complex shape product and processing field. At a certain temperature, the fully molten plastic material is stirred through the screw and shot into the mold cavity with high pressure. After cooling and curing, the molding product is obtained. This method is suitable for mass production of complex parts and is one of the important machining methods.

The injection molding process can be roughly divided into the following six stages:

Die closing, glue shooting, pressure holding, cooling, die opening and product taking out.

If the above process is repeated, the products can be produced in batches periodically. The molding of thermosetting plastics and rubber also includes the same process, but the temperature of the barrel is lower than that of thermoplastics, but the injection pressure is higher, the mold is heated, the material is injected in the mold after curing or vulcanization process, and then while the film is hot.

Nowadays, the trend of processing technology is developing towards the direction of high and new technology, which includes: micro-injection molding, high-filling composite injection molding, water-assisted injection molding, hybrid injection molding, foam injection molding, mold technology, simulation technology and so on.
