Design Principle Of Ejection Mechanism Of Injection Mold

Dec 23, 2021

Ejection mechanism, also known as the stripper mechanism or push out mechanism, is the last action of injection molding work cycle. That is to play the mold from the injection mold cavity out of the role. What principles should be followed in the design of ejection mechanism?

1. The movement direction of ejection mechanism should be accurate and reliable; There should be no stagnation in the process of movement. It should have enough strength and stiffness to withstand demoulding resistance.

2. To ensure that the plastic parts do not deform in the process of pushing out, which is the basic requirement for ejecting mechanism. When designing, the distribution of demoulding force should be as close to the core as possible, and the acting area should be as large as possible to prevent the deformation or damage of plastic parts. In general, demoulding resistance can be acted on reinforcing ribs, flanges, thick walls and other places that are not easily deformed. When considering the demoulding force, we should take into account the size and distribution of the adhesive force of the plastic parts on the injection mold, as well as the shape and surface roughness of the plastic parts and other factors.

3. In general, the design of the injection mold should ensure that the plastic parts remain on the side of the moving mold after opening the mold, because this can simplify the ejecting mechanism

4. if the ejection part needs to be located in the use or assembly of plastic parts on the datum, in order not to affect the size and use of plastic parts, generally should make the push rod and plastic parts of the contact part of concave a little. And the end face of the push rod should be higher than the datum, otherwise the surface of the plastic parts will appear convex, affecting the flatness and appearance of the datum.

The above is the Ming Yang Yutong engineers to share in the injection mold ejection mechanism design tips, I hope to help you.
